Time: Approximately 2 hours
Distance: Approximately 4 kilometres
Difficulty: Medium
The excursion begins next to the church in Esporles, climbs a steep hill, the steepest stretch in the excursion, and follows along flatter land until the final stretch, which descends to Banyalbufar. Well signposted by milestones and wooden arrows, the trail crosses the general road between the two villages twice, which is when traffic must be watched carefully, but most of the trail traverses a beautiful Holm oak forest. Lime kilns, charcoal burners' huts and spectacular views of Port des Canonge and La Foradada can be seen along the way. At the end of the Holm oak forest, the trail becomes an asphalted road that descends directly to the centre of Banyalbufar.
