The Illes Balears offer the perfect terrain for cycling and cycle touring. For lovers of cycling, the islands have become one of the leading tourist destinations in Europe.

Visitors can also bring their own bikes whether they arrive by air or by sea. This is highly recommendable if you are coming to Formentera, which has a greenway allowing the main areas of natural beauty to be visited practically without touching asphalt.

However, if you have not got a bike or you do not want to bring it with you, that is not a problem. You can find bike rental companies on all four islands, to allow you to enjoy the routes, savour the natural setting or simply use them as a means of transport. Cycling, with the landscape and the sea in the background, becomes a temptation hard to forgo in the Illes Balears.
