If you are in Mallorca, you cannot miss the electric train which runs through the Serra de Tramuntana from Palma de Mallorca to Sóller. This railway has joined the two cities since 1912 and retains its original character.
Another option in Sóller is the tram which opened in October 1913. From the Plaça de sa Constitució as far as Sa Posada de l'Artesà, the tram offers a ride around the bay of Sóller in its vintage wagons, which make you feel as though you were stepping back in time.
From Palma de Mallorca you can also use the modern line which goes to Manacor via Inca (SFM). These trains run very frequently and link the island's capital to the northeast.
